Diabetic feet can be very problematic. The key is constant monitoring and keeping on top of issues as soon as they appear. Grange Podiatry’s trained Podiatrists are experts in the treatment of diabetic feet. Don’t hold back in making an appointment. We are here to provide advice and support. We care about you and we care about your feet.
If you are under the care of a GP then you can apply for an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan. Patients with a chronic condition or complex care needs, under an EPC plan, can be referred to an allied health professional. Podiatrists are one of the included professionals. The Podiatrists at Grange Podiatry are able to to assist with the associated foot problems that you may have as the result of your diabetes.
Our treatment plan for your feet would include a range of strategies that best suit you needs, such as: checking of foot pulses (pulse palpation and doppler signal), testing for loss of sensation (monofilament, tuning fork), inspecting for potential pressure areas, checking skin and nail integrity, advising on appropriate footwear, monitoring wounds closely due to slow healing and providing advice on daily foot inspections.
